Mr. Nitesh Khandelwal, Founder of QuantInsti, spoke at SGX-India chapter in AFACT in Singapore on the 23rd of May. He gave a detailed presentation covering various Quantitative Trading Strategies. The session was based on the real life quantitative trading strategies with actual market data. Various models were also shown and explained to the audience. The presentation was very well received by the participants, which included many members of the Association of Financial and Commodity Traders, Singapore. Tap into the macro-economic coverage on India and gain trading insights centred around SGX’s India suite of derivative products namely SGX CNX Nifty Index Futures, SGX MSCI India Index Futures, SGX INR/USD FX Futures. With speakers covering macro-economic developments and delving into the finer details of trading strategies, this was an event not to be missed.

Nitesh has rich experience in financial markets spanning across various asset classes in different roles. He co-founded iRageCapital Advisory Private Limited, which is a trusted name in the space of providing Algorithmic Trading technology and strategy services in India. He led the business development for iRageCapital and QuantInsti. At QuantInsti, he was also the head of the department for training in derivatives & inter-market studies. He’s currently the Director at iRage Global Advisory Services Pte Ltd based in Singapore dealing largely with Proprietary trading clients in the HFT domain. He has prior experience in bank treasury (FX & Interest rate domain) and on a proprietary trading desk as a trader.

Mr. Rajiv Biswas, Senior Director and Asia Chief Economist of HIS will be presenting The Indian Medium Term Economic & Investment Outlook. In 2013, India was in economic crisis with the rupee plunging. In 2015, India is again one of the most favoured emerging markets for global investors. The presentation discussed the economic policies of the Modi government and the medium term economic outlook for the Indian economy and investment inflows, and the outlook for the Indian rupee.
